Say it. It's on the list.
Here's exactly what happens between talking and your to-do being saved — including the one honest rough edge, and how it's handled.
Say what you need
Two ways in:
- Siri, anywhere Siri works — including while your phone is connected to CarPlay. Try "Add milk to my Shopping list in Dew Crew," or just "Add a to-do to Dew Crew" and Siri will ask what to add.
- Tap-to-speak in the app — tap the mic icon when adding an item, for the moments you're not hands-free but still don't want to type.
It lands on the right list — or safely in Inbox
Dew Crew matches the list name you said, even if it's not exact ("shopping list" still finds "Shopping"). Voice recognition isn't perfect, though — when it can't confidently match what you said to one of your lists, the item goes to your Inbox instead of getting lost or triggering a back-and-forth with Siri while you're driving.
We'd rather ask you to move one item later than interrupt you with "did you mean list A or list B?" mid-drive.
Move it with one swipe (when needed)
Landed in Inbox but meant for another list? Open Inbox, swipe the item left, and tap Move — pick the right list from a short one-tap menu. It's a five-second fix, not a chore.
Ask, and hear it back
"Read my Shopping list" reads that list out loud. "Read everything in Dew Crew" reads every list, name then items. Completed items are skipped automatically — you only hear what's still open.
Not hearing a spoken response? Check Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri → Spoken Responses on your iPhone and set it to "Prefer Spoken Responses" — some devices default to text-only replies outside headphones/CarPlay.
